February 1, 2008Chicken Littles? Kentucky Fried Chicken’s forerunner to the Krystal Chicks. It is easier to find a KFC fish sandwich than a picture of these things.
Celebrating the 100th…
January 24, 2008day of school, Kindergarten style, comes with a sweeeeet cake made by my beautiful wife. I wish I had a Kindergarten teacher this creative and hot. Mrs. Gattis just didn’t compare! Sorry no picture on file. Just know that Jill is one of the most talented and creative Kindergarten teachers around. I cannot wait until we have kids of our own that she can pour her passion for learning into. I love you Babe! Thanks for being exactly what God has created you to be!

Our Small Group Christmas Party…
December 17, 2007was so much fun. As you can see below we had plenty to eat, including this 13 lb. ham that Cody cooked, as well as our first group picture. Who would ever imagine that a group of people could meet weekly for a years time and not have taken a group picture? Well we finally got one! Thanks to everyone in our small group for all that you are to Jill and I. We look forward to another 6 months with you all!
Sunday night group…
December 10, 2007was great. Jill and I lead a small group through BC of married couples. There are 7 couples in our group and we have had some great times over the past year that we have been meeting. Last night was one of those nights. The guys got together at the Lowery’s and played video games, ordered pizza, and pounded our chests…ok…not the last part. It was a great time. The ladies got together at our place and ordered pizza and cooked homemade cookies. YUMMY!! Coming home to the smell of fresh baked cookies is an amazing experience. Thanks to our wonderful wives for thinking of us enough to fix us cookies.
No they didn’t…
December 6, 2007put that nasty, already chewed on pizza back in the box with the other. When I went to grab lunch from the leftover pizza the staff ate yesterday this is what I found. Tim said, “Were they planning on coming back and eating the rest today?” That had to have been the box that Joel found in the parking garage after the event yesterday afternoon. Hey Joel, do you mind checking the pizza box you found in the parking deck before you stick it in the fridge. Thanks for looking out!
Edamame…
December 4, 2007or soybeans. Who knew? I sure didn’t when it came to eating these things. I would call myself a pretty adventurous eater so when someone told me to try these things at a local resturant I thought…Why not? When I got back to the table I stuck the entire thing in my mouth and began to chew. Lesson #1 - ask before you eat. Someone quickly told me not to eat the entire thing but just the pods or beans inside. Oh ok… that would have been more helpful 10 seconds ago! Once I got it down I enjoyed them but that shell sure tasted like tree bark. Oops!
Time for the Christmas Decor…
November 27, 2007i love this time of year when the Christmas decor comes out. We decorated our condo on Sunday night and I love the way it feels with the tree up and the lights on. It makes me want to cuddle up on the couch with Jill and fix some hot chocolate chip cookies and milk and turn on the fire and enjoy a good Christmas movie. (I must say that Home Alone 2 is my favorite). Wait…I gotta go…Jill just showed me some chocolate chip cookie dough she bought for us. Out…
Favorite Dish
November 21, 2007
I love all of the different kinds of food that appear this time of year around the holidays. Out of all the different foods that one has to choose from around Thanksgiving and Christmas I would have to say that my favorite is sweet potato casserole. You may pay for it later but enjoy your favorite dish this holiday season!
