The price to park…

at a hospital is unbelievable…until you pull up to the booth to pay…then you know that these people are not playing around.  I have diabetes so I visit the hospital every 3 or 4 months to see my endocrinologist.  Today I was there for about an hour and 15 minutes and it cost me $5 dollars to park.  While this adds up to $15-20 a year I feel sorry for the staff of the hospital who most likely have to pay to park where they work.  Now they may get a discount or a free pass but I know that is not always the case.  It would be like me charging the staff and the members of the church to park in our garage.  While this may be profitable how does something that seems to make no sense work?  Just another interesting fact…to valet park costs $7 at the same hospital.

I hear ya…I currently have to visit the doctor every 4 weeks and that will soon move to every two weeks and then every week. It’s only $3 to park each time I go, but I have thought about seeing if I can take that out of my flex spending account. :)
