My Buddy and Kid Sister? My Buddy was a boys doll. This may sound like a bad marketing idea but I read the other day that My Buddy was the top selling toy for five years straight. WHAT? Are you kidding me? I had one of these thing as a boy. It is amazing what a good marketing campaign can sell. Sing along with me…My Buddy, My Buddy…..

flames. On my way home from Buckhead on Thursday I headed north on Powers Ferry Rd. As I passed by Chastain Park there was a fire truck in front of one of the houses. The house was burnt to the ground and the only thing that I saw standing was the stone chimney. I was shocked to see such a beautiful house gone…My thoughts immediately went to how much time and attention I spend on things that seem permanent. What in your life seems permanent today that could be gone tomorrow? Lord help me to not rest in the blessings in my life but in You from whom all blessings come!

do this? Jerry dropped his blackberry 8800 earlier today and the whole thing came apart. Battery, battery cover, pearl, and pearl cover all came apart. Jerry is very proud of this feature of his phone and his response was…”let’s see your i-phone do that!” As soon as all the pieces were gathered he reassembled the phone and turned it back on. Can your phone do this?

going to wear? The weather this past weekend and week has been amazing for October but December? When I get up I don’t know if I should put on my cut off jeans or my new Christmas sweater. OK…I don’t own either but I want to promote a new type of Christmas attire for this period of global warming. Instead of Christmas sweaters…what about Christmas puff-paint tees. Yeah I know this sounds a little sketchy for the guys, but just think what this type of apparel would do to revolutionize you winter wardrobe. The possibilities are endless…now you can have the same level of sophisticated style as your Christmas sweaters in the form of summer attire…Anyone in?

Christmas sweaters are so out!

was great. Jill and I lead a small group through BC of married couples. There are 7 couples in our group and we have had some great times over the past year that we have been meeting. Last night was one of those nights. The guys got together at the Lowery’s and played video games, ordered pizza, and pounded our chests…ok…not the last part. It was a great time. The ladies got together at our place and ordered pizza and cooked homemade cookies. YUMMY!! Coming home to the smell of fresh baked cookies is an amazing experience. Thanks to our wonderful wives for thinking of us enough to fix us cookies.

go to the theater and see a movie or stay at home and watch a movie? Personally I know what I would like to do but I would love to hear your thoughts.

put that nasty, already chewed on pizza back in the box with the other. When I went to grab lunch from the leftover pizza the staff ate yesterday this is what I found. Tim said, “Were they planning on coming back and eating the rest today?” That had to have been the box that Joel found in the parking garage after the event yesterday afternoon. Hey Joel, do you mind checking the pizza box you found in the parking deck before you stick it in the fridge. Thanks for looking out!

real or fake Christmas trees? I have had both types of trees throughout the years and I believe that there are pros and cons to both. What do you think? Real or fake and why?
